Addition Update : Kitchen

We spent a few afternoons this summer at various kitchen/cabinet stores and keep coming up with the same layout.

And some renderings. The renderings are from Ikea's online kitchen planner, but the cabinets may or may not actually be from Ikea.They aren't perfect because they use Ikea stock cabinets that we will have to hack slightly.:

The layout is still a basic galley, but longer and with an island. I am planning for double wall ovens (!), french door fridge, 30-36" cooktop (would love gas, but we are set up for electric).

And the design scheme:

Overall gray walls (I love the color we have now and will most likely repaint the entire new living room/dining room/kitchen this color). Light plain slab doors with modern hardware, gray quartz counter, stainless steel mosaic backsplash, walnut island counter, medium wood floors with a lot of variation. Next to the sink between the windows we will put up a couple of reclaimed wood floating shelves.

Bada bing, bada boom. Kitchen. Simple, but slightly upgraded. Neutral, with splashes of red. My own personal Heaven.
